Labor Day suite...

Since I've signed up for the Treasure Island Triathlon, I have been trying to learn how to swim more than one lap :-) seriously. Last week, finally, I was able to do more than that (8 laps). My biggest improvement came after Raf taught me how to swim the breast stroke. After that I was able to keep a rhythm so I started altenating breast and freestyle.
Well, then looking at the ocean I felt confident enough to swim 100 meters and back. So check out the Torpedo before to swim:

Well, after the swim it was another story. I started swimming towards the, hhmmm comment on ecrit bouee en anglais? faut chercher sur google, found it...towards the buoy. I asked the life guard before starting, he told me it's about 100m so I was thinking I've done it before in the pool...it's only 200m to swim, 8 laps!

It was one of the scariest time in my life. I honestly thought I was going to die. I made it to the buoy ok but when I turned back and looked at the beach I paniced, it seemed so far away. Anyway, I had no choice but to swim back so I started back to the beach. The more I swam the more I thought I was swimming backward and I really panicked for about a minute or so... After that I just swam like crazy all the way back. Well, I dont think I'll do it again anytime soon.
Look at me after the swim, not a Torpedo anymore.

Labor Day Week End - Santa Barbara

We stayed at Shirin aunt Mary's house in Montecito for the Week-End. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Here are some pictures of the garden.
